While officers would not say where the complaint came from they noted that it resulted in an investigation being launched by the Halton police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit and its Internet Child Exploitation Unit. This investigation resulted in search warrants being executed in Oakville with various digital devices seized. Young offender facing charges over explicit images shared on- On Thursday evening an 18-year-old Oakville man was arrested. The individual cannot be named because he was 17 and therefore a young offender at the time of the alleged incidents. The youth is facing charges including: making sexually explicit material available to a child, luring a child, publication of an intimate image without consent, possession of child pornography and invitation to sexual touching.
