- Description
- "Because harvest time comes a little later to our neighbors south of us, they have not yet celebrated Thanksgiving in the U.S. The first Thanksgiving was largely made possible through the efforts of a friendly Indian adventurer called Squanto. He was a Wampanoag Indian who lived along the East coast. His village, called Patuxet, was where Boston now stands. In 1612, when he was about 14 years old, Squanto first made friends with the English."
