Beamish Construction Co., Limited. This is the third phase of construction for the McGowan Road Improvement project, which was approved in 2007. The work includes inâ€"place recycling of the existing asphalt surface; 3.3m lane widths with 0.4m asphalt gutter where required, and 1.2m granular shoulder; and centre-line and edge of pavement lane markings. Lane restrictions will be encountered frequently as construction progresses. Funding in part for this construction project is provided from the Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Stimulus Fund. The Tenth Line Improvement Project continues in 2010 with the reconstruction of Tenth Line from Main Street south to Mantle Avenue, and the rehabilitation of Main Street from Tenth Line to Eastern Gate Crescent. Miwel Construction Limited will be undertaking the work which includes: full depth reconstruction and urbanization of the two-lane arterial road from Main Street south to Mantle Avenue, with concrete curbs, gutters, and storm sewers, street light illumination, sidewalks on both sides, and grassed boulevards.
