Died June 15, 2015 in Oakville, Ontario after a battle with Leaukemia. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette. Loving father of Colin (Angela), Sean (Heather), and daughter Meagan. Grandfather of Justin and Nicole Palenchar (Meagan), Rachael and Brendan Doyle (Colin), Tara and Kelly Doyle (Sean). He is also survived by his brother Denzil and sister Connie of Ottawa. He is predeceased by his baby sister Maureen, whose husband Bob Arbour also resides in Ottawa. Most of his working career was at IBM Canada (39 years). He worked in several cities in Canada, as well as assignments to England, France, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. He loved all sports and played many, but his favourites were golf and baseball. In 1954 in an Ottawa Valley league game, playing shortstop, he was able to execute an unassisted triple play. His golf accomplishments included three hole-in-one and shooting his age for the first time at 75 years old. Most recently he was a member of the Wyldewood Golf Club for 27 years. He was a member of the Olde Oakville Probus Club. Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be organized for August.
