President Shirley Reddom thanked hostess, Mrs. Adele Tod. of officers took place, but the names not released pending confirmation of Municipal elections will take place Monday, Dec. 2. In Colborne, the polling stations are located at the Curling Rink and two at the Municipal Building. In Cramahe Township, the polls will be located at: Clande Rose, RR 5, Colborne; Salem Church Hall; Dundonald Community Hall; Morgenston Community Centre; and the Town Hall in Castleton. There will be a dancathon in Gym 'C at East Northumberland Secondary School, Dec. 6 and 7. The event will start at 7 pm Friday and run until 8 pm Saturday, a total of 25 hours. The purpose of the dancathon is to raise money for the people of Bangladesh. Participants in the dancathon will be sponsored. They are urgently seeking donations of food, in order to eat during I he 25 hour endurance test. Food items, such as hot dogs, soft drinks, etc. can be given to Carmen Vajda, at the main office of ENSS. Obituaries WILLIAM HAROLD GUMMER - died suddenly, at his late Kingston residence, 242Westdale Ave., Monday, Nov. 18, 1974. Mr. Gummer was the beloved husband of Lois Collins, and dear brother of Mrs. I.C. Dinning (Marold) Victoria, B.C.; Mrs. E. Whaley, (Evelyn) Colborne; and Mrs. I.F. Buchanan, (Mary) Colborne. He rested at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel, Counter St., Kingston until time of the funeral service in the chapel, Thursday Nov. 21. Interment took place in the Salem Cemetery. A SCOTTISH TEA AND BAZAAR is being held at Old St.Andrews Presbyterian Church, Colborne on Saturday Nov. 30. This week's winner in the Kinsmen 200 Club draw was Wayne Smit, ticket number 46. This was the sixth draw. Don't forget the Santa Claus Parade this Saturday starting from Colborne Public School at 2:00 p.m. There have been fifty entries for this parade so far. Be sure to come out and support it. Santa will be giving out candies to the children and taking their orders for Christmas at the Town Hall afterwards. COL. SOCIAL Mr. and Mrs. Ken McGill of Rexdale spent the weekend in Colborne and visited her father in hospital on Sunday. PHYLLIS WOOTTON Phyllis Wootton, Maple Court Apartments, King St.West, Colborne, died in her home Oct. 26. She was in her 88th year. Born in Wales, Mrs. Wootton has lived in Colborne for 25 years. She is survived by her son, Douglas "Hinton of Belleville. Mrs. Wootton rested at Evan's Funeral Home, Colborne, until time of the funeral Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. The service was conducted by Rev. R.W. French, of Colborne United Church. Interment took place in Mount Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Oshawa. VOTE DOWNEY FOR COUNCIL and then opened the meeting with the singing of the hymn, 'Faith of our Fathers'. This was followed by the creed and the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. Alice Haines then contributed the bible reading. The roll call was taken, 14 members were present and one visitor. Discussion of the way to improve the program followed. The minutes were then approved, and the reports from the different committees were given. Happy Birthday was sung to Mrs. Laurine Rouse. Next was the draw, won by Mrs. Helen Doidge. A donation of $10 was given to the blind, and another $10 was given to the Salvation Army. It was decided to hold next month's meeting at either, Mrs. Alice Haines' house or the home of Mrs. Shirley Haines. The election were some The program continued with an auction sale.
