Bob Perry was staying with bis son Les ini Pontypool when he heard that bis home had bumned to the ground. Also vic- tims were his wife Doris, 57,and bis daughter Kim, 18. Doris was a retired school teacher from Waverly Public School and Kim was aspiring to be a nurse. The shock of their sudden deaths bas drawn the surviving members of the family close togetber. Mr. Perry bas flot only lost bis wife and daugbter, but bas been left destitute. The insurance on the bouse ran out a few months ago as they could, no longer afford it. He is now left without a home, clotbes, or possessions, but stili bas a $100.000 mortgage for a prop- erty now without a home. The Perry's neigbbours, the Emedi's, bave tried to help out Mr. Perry as much as they could. Tbey have personally gîven bim hundreds of dollars, given him clothes to wear, and offered free lumber from their lumber yard to rebuild bis bouse. They have even se t up a fund for tbe Perrys, and bave been tirelessly trying to raise donations for this very devas- tated family.
