The project is considered the next step in the deveiopment of fusion as a future world energy source. 'Me $12 billion project spread over ten years for construction and a further 20 years in opera Lion is being promoted by Canadian interests to be located in Canada. Two possible sites are considered, the Darlington Generating Station in Clarington or the Bruce Generating Station in the Bruce Peninsula. The proposai would have international support from the USA, Europe, Japan and the RussianFederation.
