OmbWiel- ieWdedy *oebrî~ o~ Thoughts From The Top: Coll 'ege is important for a student's career, but high school is good for a student's social life. Cover Story: 1I attended an open house at Durham College on November 7. The purpose of this trip was to help senior students who are planning on attending college to get a little more information about collegesacross Ontario. , Many representatives from different colleges were present to answer questions about courses, tuition fees an college pre- requisites. Durham had manydifferent seminars on certain- courses available at Durham. Students could also go on tours of the campus and residence. High schools froin ail over the region attended the open house. Students could choose what they wanted to do, the only thing they really had te worry about was getting to the bus on turne. Critic's Corner: ýwWIle attending school, if itfs either high school or college, a social life is still of a mnajor- importance. While students should worry about their academics, keeping a n active social life within balance is just as important a s keeping good marks. It keeps the spirit inotivated, while it's excrcising your brain. Feedback: I would like to hear your views on the "Critic's Corner" or "Thoughts From The Top." This gaine was one off the best of the day featuring old turne rough tough hockey with lots of action at both ends of the rink. First Period 1. Orono. Thompson (McAlister, Rowe) 6:55 Second Period 2. Orono just didn't have enough left after two very phiysical gaies earlier in the day and their fourth gaine in less than twenty-four hours as Woodville outskated Orono on their way to their victory. Once again the goaltending for Orono was strong particularly in the very early going as the Leafs started very slowly in this outing. The effort of the Leafs for the day was good and this team is going to do well if they continue the spirited play of this weekend. First Period 1. Orono. Thompson (Allin) 2:06 2. Woodville.
