HARNESS A long time resident of Clarke Township, passed away at Marnwood House, Bowmanville on June 26, 1990 in the person of Dewitt S. Harness. He was born in the An- tiocli section on November 30, 1897. The second child of Tom and Elizabeth Harness. He was predeceased by his first wife Erma Skelding in 1950 and his second wife Eva Swancott in 1977. An ardent agriculturalist and nature lover, he spent his entire lifetime in the Orono area. Forty-four years of that time lie was employed with the Ministry of, Natural Resources, until his retire- ment in 1966. lie leaves to mourn four daugliters, Roseline, Helen, Evelyn and Joan and an only son, Reid, as well as four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 29. Palîbearers were Bill Armstrong, Wayne Bowen, Bruce Mercer, Russell Powell, Ray Staples and Ross Wood.
