- INDIAN VILLAGE SITE - Use your imagination as the planners have and you'll see an Iroquois Indian village on this land in the foreground across from Chiefswood, home of Indian poet Pauline Johnson. The village committee, which hopes to establish a new tourist attraction on the Six Nations Reserve, is applying to the Indian affairs branch in Ottawa for a grant to help finance construction. As yet there are no definite plans other than the building of several longhouses and a car park common to both Chiefswood and the village. The committee also hopes to be able to restore the ferry across the Grand River connecting River Road with Pauline Johnson Road which borders the site of the proposed village.
