"There were many in England, and also America, who were impressed with the economic and social progress Germany had made since the Depression... and anti-Semitism was rife in England as much as in the United States," said Kater. "Many British MPs sympathized with the Nazis, and Sir Oswald Mosley very officially led the British Union of Fascists."
