The Jammer Classic, held annually in the memory of Jamieson Kuhlman, is a full-scale tournament for the U17 age division. Younger age groups compete in `The Little Jammer' as friendly games. The U15-2 Hawks also competed in the tournament. Buzz will play eight of first 10 games at home continued from p.45 sity Field Lacrosse Association title in the fall. Returnees Josh Morton, Austin Redding and Matt Kim give the Buzz, which last year ranked sixth among 26 teams in goals against, a solid foundation. Oakville also hopes to have an injured Nick Crepinsek back at some point this season. The Buzz will be without many of its veterans in the first weeks of the season while they finish their college seasons, leaving Oakville having to rely on its younger players. Fortunately, a favourable schedule that will see Oakville play eight of its first 10 games at its Toronto Rock Athletic Centre home could help the Buzz. "I think it will give our young guys a chance to get their feet wet in the league and be a little more comfortable," Bentivegna said. "It's a tough league and playing on the road can be hard. We didn't do it (schedule home games early) intentionally, but we weren't upset when we saw the schedule." Oakville opens the season at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre Friday at 8 p.m. against the Newmarket Saints. -- Herb Garbutt can be followed on Twitter @Herbgarbutt Soccer Player Development socceR pRoGRaMs that Develop plaYeRs InnovatIve technIques to Develop InDIvIDual skIll Game Based LearninG Brain Based LearninG Oakville Summer Registration Now Open! 905-467-2775 pRoGRaM DIRectoR: DIno lopez powered by www.apexfootylab.com Learn More and register at
