OTHS robotics team's parents host astronaut at fundraising dinner for the team The parents of Oakville Trafalgar High School's FIRST Robotics team are hosting a fundraiser they're sure will be out of this world. On May 13, the public is invited to the 2nd annual Robotics Fundraiser, which includes dinner at the Oakville Club and a presentation by Dr. Dave Williams, a retired Canadian astronaut. In addition to his experiences in outer space, Williams is a medical robotics specialist, a neuroscience researcher and an emergency room physician. He is also a motivational speaker. This fundraiser will go towards financing the high school team's annual expenses of approximately $45,000. With more than 50 members, the Red Devils FIRST Robotics team participates in an international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program and has won numerous awards and competitions. Dinner is a three-course meal and cash bar at the Oakville Club, 56 Water Street. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets cost $100 and are available by emailing roboticsfundraiser@gmail.com. 25 | Thursday, April 23, 2015 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT STUDY Trafalgar Road (Regional Road 3) Transportation Corridor Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study from Cornwall Road to Highway 407 Environmental Study Report, Wards 3, 5 and 6 Town of Oakville File number: PR-2079A & PR-2417A Study Halton Region has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to address future travel demands on the Trafalgar Road (Regional Road 3) corridor from Cornwall Road to Highway 407, in the Town of Oakville.
