Sources sought for series on seniors Metroland Media is currently looking for sources for a special investigative series on dementia in seniors. According to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, one in 10 Ontarians over age 65 is living with dementia. That's approximately 200,000 people. By the end of 2017, as the baby boomer population ages, that number is projected to increase to 300,000. Metroland is investigating the kind of impact this dramatic increase will have on individuals, families and the health care system. Are we prepared for it? What needs to be done to provide the specialized care these seniors will need?
