Friends of the Library spring book sale opens to the public today The Friends of the Oakville Public Library (FOL) is holding its Spring Book Sale this week. Taking place at the library's Central Branch auditorium, 120 Navy St., the book sale by the library's fundraising arm features thousands of donated titles across many genres. Books are for sale at $1.50 per pound. These sales have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been used to enhance library programs and services like TD Summer Reading Club, teen writing contests and technology-help workshops, according to organizers.
