will be some but they will not be too noticeable to the bowler We have no major changes planned right now it are riding winning streaks pectations Since the beginning of the season the Colts have showed they have one of the most potent offences in the league The Colts were capable of skating their opponents into the ice late in the games but the defence was weak The Colts received strong goaltending from Bob Toffan and Dune Brownell but goaltending alone cannot keep team in hockey game Suddenly everything started going right for the Colts Tofv fan started playing spectacular hockey and the team started playing strong defensive hockey Not only did the defensive corps start playing well but the forwards started picking up their players and forechecked Theyre starting to jell said Doug Raymond Colts manager Theyre starting to play the way they can play Raymond said the key to the turnaround was move made by Forbes several weeks ago Forbes dropped the four line system and started going with three lines and six defencemen We have three units now and the forwards know what the defence is going to do and the defence knows where the fore wards will be Raymond stated senior and junior hockey at the same time Both the Flyers of the Ontario Senior Hockey League and the Colts of the MidOntario Junior Hockey League Darryl Sly coach of the Flyers and Howie Forbes coach of the Colts have been promising victories all season but un til recently victories were few and far in between losses Both coaches had hopes that their teaiiis would come through eventually and the clubs are finally living up to ex Bowlarama has centres in 28 communities in Ontario and the purchase of the Sheas chain makes it the largest in the coun try Sheas had alleys in Lon don Toronto Oakville Peter borough and Mont real Bowlarama is noted for its 24 hours day bowling but Marten feels there is no market in Bar rie to keep the alley open that long At the yrescnt time the alley is open bort 12 hours day Marten said the alley opened at noon and remained open un til about midnight although potential according to Raymond One of these players is Er nie Cumming Cumming has seen work on defence and almost every forward position play anywhere Howie tells him to mond said Hell play even goal Raymond said Cumming does not play on regular line but fills in and sees lot of duty on penalty killing teams The Colts have not been at full strength for the last several weeks because of injuries and Cumming has been on the ice lot Raymond said defenceinen Wayne Church Rick Jerincy and Sheas there are eight 10pin adult leagues and nine fivepin leagues The Youth Bowling Council is active in Barrie and 140 youngsters bowl every Saturday At Sheas there are twojunior fivepin leagues and one 10pin league Marten said that despite the large number of leagues there is always room for someone to come and bowl few games Ile said that in the afternoons and on weekends would be the best time
