Christmas party will be held Dec 20 with dinner at 1230 pm in the charge of convener Mrs Gilmore and her commit tee The program will be arrang ed by Mrs Jean Kell and her committee The monthly pot luck dinner will be held Tues day MEETING Over 50 senior and junior members attended the recent meeting of the Painswick Hor ticultural Society Mrs Lor raine McGregor of Barrie had an interesting display of craft for Christmas decorations in cluding lighted basket flower stand and many other favorites She also demonstrated mak ing ribbon roses and all the presents could be tied together to make one big present Many door prizes were won and delicious lunch served Next meeting will be the annual meeting in the Complex at Stroud on Dec at 730 pm when Mr Al Crawford will be speaker SPECIAL PRIZES During the meeting Mrs William Muller leader of juniors presented special prizes for years achievement to Peter Bowman Billie Smythe Michelle DeJohn Tena Baynes Nancy Lancicd Senior winner was Sharon DeJohn who won shield and other winners were Ann Bowman Caron Tracy Terry Reeves Margaret Ann and Frances Nordoff The dried flowers and Christmas show had many in teresting entries Congratula the names should be changed to take advantage as far as possible of the provincial grant structure providing an nual funds for operating com munity recreation centres The Community Centres Act has
