on Shaw Crescent at the southeast corner of Letitia Street But the owner of the proper ty Sardina Investments will still be able to put second and third house on the 06acre parcel under the present zon mg Planning board voted to recommend rejection of the rezoning application Tuesday after three neighboring Letitia Street residents turned out to public meeting to protest the ef fect of the proposed rezoning on their properties sevensignature petition op posing the rezoning was also presented to the board Among the protesters was Milan Du of 187 Letitia St owner of property adjoining the Shaw Crescent parce at the rear The proposal is com letely ridiculous Duga to the board im going to have five lots backing onto my property Im going to have 25 people staring in my kitchen window check of survey later in the meeting showed that only four of the proposed lots would actually adjoin Dugas land directly Under the present residential zoning Sardina could have the Shaw Crescent parcel severed into three lots by the Commit tee of Adjustment The proposed zoning allows smaller lot sizes and would have made room for five lots again requiring Committee of Adjustment approval Planning board member Don Wurdemann led the fight against the proposal during the boards discussion after the public meeting dont see why the developer cant build on the ex isting zoning he said during debate wouldnt want that fivelot pro osali nexttome The boar rejected both the proposed rezoning and partial rezoning suggested by cit planner Rick Jones whic would have allowed four lots on the land The planning board recom mendation will go to city coun cil for approval FELLOWSHIP WON EDMONTON CP Brent Fillmore student in Univer sity of Albertas faculty of busi ness administration and
