COL WRIGHT High honor Col Wright comman dant of the Canadian Forces Dental Service School at Cana dian Forces Base Borden has been inducted as fellow of the International College of Den tists FICD Col Wright was one of 16 Canadian dentists inducted during the recent meeting of the World Dental Congress of the Federation Dentaire Inter nationale held in Toronto The FICD honor was confer red upon Col Wright at con vocation ceremony and dinner at the Toronto Harbor Castle Hilton The fellowship is awarded to dentists in recognition of significant contributions to den tistry Col Wright certified specialist in periodontics with masters degree in oral pathology has had extensive in volvement in dental education and organized dentistry In addition to lecturing at local provincial and national conventions and seminars he serves as advisor and represen tative on various professional bodies Col Wright who lives at Brookdale Dr in Barrie with his wife and three daughters is one of the four Canadian Forces dentists who currently hold this honor iORl MLLLIN Acting director Gord Mullin Barrie resi dent for the past three years has been named acting director of education for the Ontario region of the Department of In dian Affairs and Northern Development Mullin the former regional superintendent of elementary and secondary education for the department was raised in the Listowel area He held principal and teaching posts in Arthur Meaford and Milverton before moving to Orillia in 1965 where he served on the public school board and the Orillia Township School Board After one year as principal of David Church Public School in Orillia he joined the depart ment of Indian Affairs Mullin held the ost of district superinten ent of education for the Georgian BayEastern Ontario area until 1972 when he was named district superintendent of education for the departments KenoraFort Frances region Mullin and his wife Verna have two children Their daughter Bonnie is first year student
