hockey game ended thriller Fri day night at the Barrie Arena The Barrie Flyers came from behind to defeat the Mississauga Golden Arrows 42 with Gary MacMiIlan scoring twice for the winners The Arrows built up 21 lead after the first period and the Flyers tied it in the second with Doug Fergusons goal The Fl ers appeared to be on the verge of losing to the last place clu in the league but it took called back goal to set the team on fire BREAKAWAY The Flyers had breakaway goal called back with eight minutes gone in the final period because of an offside call The Flyers then bombarded the Arrows net with 22 shots out shooting Mississauga 5223 in the game Flyers Arrows The win preserves the teams winning streak at home Its hard to get the club up for game when theyre going against the bottom club said Steve Cripps Flyers general manager Their goaltender got hot and when they realized they had hockey game on their hands they started to play Cripps said LOOKED FLAT The Flyers looked flat for most of the first two periods with only their penalty killing teams playing steady hockey While the Flyers had the edge in shots on net the club could not come up with any sustained pressure during the first two periods The goal that was scored by Jon Hammond and then called back started the Flyers hustling Barrie started throwing their weight around and began skating It was the MacMiIlan
