What started out as collec tion of paintings has evolved into fulltime business for Helga and husband Robert Although he still operates his physiotherapy business in Weston which he has had for the past 28 years Robert has helped set the business up and has gone on purchasing trips to Germany and England The store carries variety of gift as well as many collectors items Fine antigues such as King Louis XV chair an inlaid wooden coffee table canter bury server and Louis XIV bed are on display and also for sale CRYSTAL good selection of Waterford crystal including bowls candy dishes relish trays vases and decanters are available at the shop Since collecting paintings has been hobby over the years they are knowledgeable as to the origins and artists Helga says that as pieces are sold Where we met in Germany was near the lakes and have always loved being near the water We moved to lnnisfil five years ago and now we are planning to move to Barrie The Royal Coach can arrange to have one week The design is first blown up to three times the finished size and the pattern is cut by hand in plastic The plastic pattern is placed on pantograph ma chine which again reduces the design to the original size carv ing it out on the soft tool steel that will become the die The design is roughed in by the machine and then detail is carefully finished by hand be fore the die is hardened The dies are then placed in the drop hammer which stamps the medals from sheet copper Craftsmen file off any rough edges and the bar to which ribbon will be attached is 501 dered on The individual medals are polishedsandblasted to give textured background surface and rubbed with pumice stone to highlight the raised surfaces Finally each medal is dipped into pot of molten gold silver or bronze coat of lacquer protects against tarnishing
