Hiring climate to improve in Oakville, Burlington: survey Those looking for a job in Oakville and Burlington can expect to find a modest hiring climate in the coming months, according to a recent survey by ManpowerGroup. The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey looked to the hiring climate for the second quarter of 2015 and surveyed more than 1,900 employers across Canada. "Survey data reveals that 13 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter (April to June), while two per cent of employers anticipate cutbacks," said Erica Melarangeli, a staffer from Manpower's offices in Hamilton. Another 82 per cent of employers are expected to keep their current staffing levels in the upcoming quarter, while three per cent are unsure of their hiring intentions. Strongest job prospects According to the survey, the strongest job prospects were reported by employers in the finance, insurance and real estate sectors. Discovering physical defects within the home after the transaction has been completed can leave that person feeling upset and wronged. Although there is an inherent risk in purchasing any used commodity on an "as-is" basis, there are ways of minimizing that risk. Understand that "Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware" applies unless otherwise provided for in your agreement. If certain aspects of the home cannot reasonably be inspected, consider asking for a warranty from the seller to protect you for these matters. Understand that generally a seller is only required to disclose physical defects of which they are aware and therefore a seller's liability will follow only if it can be proven that the seller had specific knowledge of such a defect and deliberately failed to disclose it. Ensure your deal is conditional on having an inspection. Hire a professional to complete that inspection and discuss with them from the outset which aspects of the home will and will not be inspected. Ensure that you receive a full written review of the inspection. Also understand the limits of the inspector's liability. If anything has induced you to purchase the home, including the seller's verbal representations and warranties, or a Seller's Property Information Statement, if one is provided, ensure that these form part of the agreement in writing. Hastily entering into purchase agreements without completing the appropriate due diligence can result in buyer's remorse.
