Penetanguishenes French community are rallying at Queens Park Tuesday to win support for separate French secondary school The reason for the rally is to ask Bette Stephenson Ontarios minister of education and Bill Davis provincial premier to in tervene immediately Rejean Guay of the Association Canadiens Francais Ontario told The Examiner today Simcoe Countys board of education has decided against building separate facility for the communitys Frenchspeaking students The board favors constructon of an annex to the existing high school that would be used by the French community The coimtys French Language Advisory Committee has been arguing in favor of distinct building since December of 1977 Without the separate school the French com munity will not survive the committee says Guay said there is the danger that the French and English communities in the area could become polarized over the issue if hardline is taken SCHOOL NEEDED dont think it would be good for people to take hard position The school is needed by FrancoOntarians and they have right to haveit Guay said other organizations of French speaking Ontarians will also be represented at the rally which begins
