cliche bend your knees five dollars please still holds true to certain extent From begimiers right up through to advanced this is still holds true to cer tain extent From beginners right up through to advanced this is still the most important factor in skiing The first thing beginner is taught is the proper stance skis little bit apart for stability knees bent upper body forward hands ahead and in relatively low posit ion This position can almost be compared to tennis player that is readying himself to receive serve When you stop to think of it its really common sense the lower one is on skiis the more stabili ty If one stands too tall theres nothing left to ab sorb any irregularities in the terrain and before you know it one of the mogul mice has got you The same holds true for little tykc of five or six skiing down the hill When they fall they seem to bounce right back up again never injuring themselves because they are so close to the ground to begin with and knees therefore have low cen Bend me ire of gravity So for anyone thinking of taking up skiing this season try to keep in mind this important rule of thumb and youll pro gress more rapidly towards parallel skiing Oldfling
