country rivals Orillia in league game Saturday in Orillia The win moved Colts into seventh place just one point ahead of Thornhill making Thursdays upcoming game between Barrie and Thornhill crucial match for both teams EVENI MATCHEI The game was fairly evenly matched although the Colts did enjoy 62 lead midway throuin the second period But Orillia chipped away slowly at the Colts lead eventually ty ing the game and taking brief 76 lead in the third period Tim Clayden who had one goal and two assists on the night for Colts tied the game ll early in the first period after Orillia had taken 10 lead on Mark Hewitts power play goal Bowman and Mark Mirkannen drew the assists Bowman made it 21 on his first goal of the night at the 1548 mark of the first period on power play goal assisted by Chris Wright Orillias Kevin Crowther scored one of his two goals in the ganme less than minute later to tie the game 22 But Bowman gave Colts one goal lead before the period ended on another power play goal with the assists going to Wright and Kevin Guest In the second period Colts came out skating and shooting firing 13 shots at Orillia goalie Mark Rogers Ix TIM LAYDEN three points and coming the puck better in the last three or four games so were getting lots more scor ing opportunities Colts had 37 shots on goal But we still have to put the puck in the net more often think thats our biggest problem Id like to see the team do ing bit better said Mac Millan Bowman is having really good year but Id like to see our other two lines scoring more Id Ike to see us try to get into at least fifth place by the end of the season If we play as whole unit like we did agianst Orillia then think we can doit MacMillan says that Colts have no trouble getting up for games against the good clubs like Orillia which is currently second in the league The guys know they have to play well agianst the better teams so we dont get blown out of the rink said Mac Millan But against the lowerplace teams we seem to come up little flat We need to be more consistent MacMillan will be looking for big effort from all his players in this Thursdays game against Thornhill one of the teams in seventh tied it up for the Flyers when he scored midway through the period But Terriers took the lead again late in the period when Billy Beauchamp scored his first of two goals on the night The period ended
