MAIICIIANI By LORI COHEN Of The Examiner TORONTO In precedentsetting deci sion the Ontario Labor Relations Board has ordered Radio Shack to compensate the United Steelworkers of America and its members for damage caused by bad faith bargaining and interference in employee rights In decision here Wednesday the board ruled that Radio Shack had bargained in bad faith with the union at the companys plant in Barrie the site of bitter strike since August The board said the company had tried to coerce employees into withdrawing support from the union and went to lengths to under mine the unions status as bargaining Among the remedies ordered by the board were ORadio Shack was ordered to reopen con tract negotiations with the assistance of ministry of labor mediator and make every reasonable effort to make collective agree ment OThe board said the company must pre sent complete contract proposal at the first unionmanagement meeting that the union is willing to accept as collective agreement OThe company was ordered to withdraw its insistence on voluntary dues checkoff which will mean the imposition of the Rand Formula one of the key union demands leading to the
