the public at Grove Park Home in conjunction with Canada Music Week Nov 18 to 24 The professional development day will be held Nov 17 at Grove Park Home The clinician will be Raymond Dudley head of the music department at the University of Cincin nati The music lectures will be open to the public The music teachers have also organized series of music courses at Georgian College to help students preparing for Royal Conservatory and Western Conservatory exams In structors will be June Melebacher and Maude Fleming The courses include Grade and preliminary rudiments Grade theory and rudiments and Grade historyand harmony Susan Ricketts Barrie voice teacher was elected presi dent of the local music teachers branch at recent meeting Also elected were Maude Fleming vicepresident Audrey teachers held successful concert open to any music students in the Bar rie area Over $500 in scholarships was awarded to outstan ding performers The money was raised by the music teachers through lottery draws and one donation Adjudicators at the spring concert were impressed by the calibre of the performances and regretted that more mone was not available for scholarships says Joyce Langfor
