Thornhill took 21 lead But Barrie stormed back just 20 seconds later when Rocchio skated in on right wing and snapped wrist shot past the Thomhill goalie to even the score at 22 Action was pretty very good team when he was coaching but he tried his best to make us one The Leafs were in Los Angeles on Saturday night when news of McLellans death reached them King Clancy vicepresident of the club said McLellan was class individual in every way First of all he was one of the best family men you can imagine really devoted to his wife and children He was good hockey man and there wasnt much done STEPHEN NICHOLLS Of The Examiner After completing 52mile rim earlier this month Bar rie District provincial police officer wants to try for 100 miles Cpl Barry Ruhl 36 made the 50mile run while he was studying criminal investiga tion at the Ontario Police College Aylmer That run completed in seven and half hours Oct raised about $300 for the Woodstock Tornado relief fund he said Cpl Ruhl said hes been marathon runner for seven years and hes competed in several races including the Boston Marathon He said he decided to run 26 miles at the college to train for an upcoming 36 mile run in Kitchener Waterloo His classmates suggested students sponsor his run to raise money for the fund When he started Cpl Ruhl said he planned to run 26 miles KEPT GOING When got to 26 kept going he said When got up to 30 thought lets go to $51 When hit 35 thought okay40andthatsit But when he reached the 40mile mark he thought about colleague who had completed 50mile run and he decided to go for 10 more miles Those 10 final mies were tough he said Its really really hard to continue At 30 miles started to feel tired It was chore up to 40 But from 40 on think it was just my head that said keep going Although those last few miles were gruelling Cpl Ruhl said if he had given up before hitting the 50mile mark he would have been disappointed The officer ran the 50 miles on paved road that circles the police
