Margaret Peacock reelected GetTogether Clb preidt The 1979 executive of the Bar ne GetTogether Club was chosen Tuesday With the ex ception of new post assistant secretary all members of the 1978 exeucitve were reelected Margaret Peacock is presi dent Betty Cheeseman is vice president Herb Dawson is se cond vicepresident Thelma Kilgour is secretary Ann Crawford is treasurer and Mae Greenacre is assistant secretary The Barrie GetTogether Club meets every Tuesday at 130 at the Army Navy Air Force Club on George Street Members pay $1 year to the club and $1 membership to the United Senior Citizens of On tario USCO club The Barrie club has 130 members but as Margaret Peacock president said we are always looking for newmembers Although only 50 people at tended the election of the ex ecutive Mrs Peacock said that attendance at the weekly meetings is usually high Even if the weather is bad we usually have good atten dance she said But Im afraid we never have high at terflance on an election day They just dont like to vote The club is almost 80 per cent women but men play large part in the group Herb Dawson is an example every Tuesday he plays the piano from to 130 pm welcoming the seniors to the weekly meeting Most of the seniors are driven to the meetings by women from Collier St United Church The meetings usually include Mr Dawson at the piano sing song game of cards or bingo and nice cup of tea and cookies We are very cheery goup said Mrs Peacock We are good bunch and we have great time together This year the GetTogether The International Order of Odd Fellows Barrie
