stay young or to remain involved in com munity activities This urge to stay young is reflected in our culture at every turn It can be seen in our sports in our music and hundreds of other ac tivities downtowns More business will stabilize and improve the property and business tax base Ecomonics is not the only purpose By fixing up store fronts simply and economically you bring shop pers to the downtown and add to the social and cultural op portunities of any given com munity How is this program to be financed The province will pay for twothirds by partially recoverable loans to the municipality By improving the store fronts of number of given buildings or by con structing minimall such projects should produce more revenue through rents or taxes Mr Rhodes pointed out that the improvement or relocation of sewer services or roads the acquisition andor clearance of land for revitalizing down town are excellent examples of prgjects eligible for financial a1 Repayment of the loan is dependent upon new revenue being generated by the municipality These monies may come from lease of cleared land or sale of buildings from the project Regardless twothirds of such funds would
