Service at ll om pm OLD FRIENDSplease come Everyone Welcome To IOI HALL BURTON AVE Capt Venables who has belonged to number of other associations before coming to Barrie two years ago says the Barrie group is head and shoulders above anything Ive ever seen WILLINGNESS Association members here he says combine close Chris tian fellowship with will ingness to get involved Ive found them to be con cerned not only about their own churches but about the Christian community as whole he says like to see action Our Ministerial is more than just group of men get ting together Capt Venables says the group is able to emphasize its common Christian principles in joint action despite tremen dous differences of opinion on some theological questions When differences of belief or practice make it impossible for given member to participate in an association activity he says that member is able to stand aside without creating problems dont see the differences getting in the way of our association he says Theres great spriit of cooperation with the clergy generally speaking The boat stood out from the harbour and the young man went below to change into his uniform few moments later he came out to the deck to parade before his mother Look Momma he said lmthecaptain The old lady surveyed him calmly and then as one ac customed to deflating the ego of proud child she answered Sammy by you you is cap tain by me you is captain but by captains youisnocaptain Get the point By you youre good man by your neighbors youre good man by youre family yourea good man But by God who really mat terSJ you have no goodness which can of itself get you to heaven The Bible says all our goodnesses are as filthy rags We get to heaven by realizing this and then by placing our faith in the Saviour who was one hundred percent good and who performed THE good work of being punished for all the sins we haveever committed Salvation does not depend upon our goodness or good works but upon His
