anle In mayors race Formei Barrie mayor Willard Kinzie announced today he will be candidate for mayor in this years municipal elections Mr Kinzie ma or from 1957 through 1961 sai he will cam paign on platform of attrac ting industry encouraging business to help balance the tax burden regaining control of the city hall budget and other pro jects designed to boost Bar me Mr Kinzie is the fourth an nounced candidate for the post Others are the incumbent Dorian Parker and aldermen Jim Perri and Ross Archer Mr Kinzie told morning press conference at his Shanty Bay Road home his decision to seek the mayors post comes in response to numerous requests from city residents in all walks of life Supporter Al Gerow began the conference by presenting Mr Kinzie with petition he said contained more than 600 signatures and Mr Kinzie said he had receiyed many other re quests at his home his business and on the street The answer is yes he told about two dozen neighbors sup porters and news media re presentatives Mr Kinzie said attraction of industry to Barrie will be ma jor priority if he is elected mayor Such drive would be aimed at balancing the tax burden which he says weighs too heavily on
