Pearce wins Beggs award For outstanding contribution J0hn Kirt Pearce who c0n srders Georgian College an excellent school is the wmner of the Franklyn Beggs Memorial Award Pearce 22 was presented the award Wednesday during the colleges annual Awards Day celebrations This trophy was given to Georgian by the family of the late Franklyn Beggs first registrar of the college The award is presented each year to graduating student who in the judg ment of the faculty has made an outstanding con tribution in the area of stu dent activities Robert Crawford presi dent of the college presented Bill Joynt president of the Students Administrative ouncil with the presidents gavel in honor of his term of office total of $13000 was given to over so students by local donors in the form of awards bursaries and loans in honor of the students individual achievements both socially and academically Pearce is social chairman of the Student Ad ministrative Council this year and was in charge of security for
