technological progress within the Wye River Valley the past 300 years will be featured in an unusual industrial show at SainteMarie among the Hurons Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday December 14 15 and 16 The exhibit under the theme Industrial Showcase Yester day and Today will illustrate the growth of production ac tivities in the Wye Valley from the time the first wooden planks were handsawn to build SainteMarie to the modern day production of projects such as stainless steel sinks carpenters tools and rope cables The show open to the public from noon to 830 pm each of the three days will also il lustrate the integration of historical preservation and iii dustrial progress within the Wye Valley said project co ordinator oell Voorzanger ad ministrative assistant at SainteMarie There will be no admission charge ELEVEN COMPANIES Eleven companies and businesses join SainteMarie and the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre in the show erzanger said He stressed the purpose of the show is to acquaint people with the companies in the Wye Valley with what they produce how they produce it and what plans they have for the future Each exhibit will contain some basic information concer ning the number of employees plant size and examples of various stages of production Some companies will have representatives at their ex hibits others will use films or slides to explain production In SainteMarie museum will be en for those who are intereste in exploring many of the historic events which led to the creation of our heritage in this area Voorzanger added he is presently working on
