contenders for county league honors when they invade Creemore to engage the leading Braves in contest tonight The inandout Majors have shown brilliant championship form at times but havent been too consistent this year and are well back in the current standing But think we have better club than our standing would in dicate said Coach Gander Ross pointing out the team started the season short of players We have most of our veteran players out now and they should be of material help in our home stretch drive he sug gested referring to Wally McMillan Barry Cockbum and Pat Hennessy all top hitters The improvement in pitching also was mentioned Southpaw Jerry Wingrove who has been mainstay of the staff has im proved steadily since the start of the season Peter Koehli is junior graduate who has shown top form Brock Richardson is back with the club and Jerry Udell is another late comer from whom much is expected Udells pitching was key factor in enabling the Majors to take the county
