The hearing was held to deal with obections from residents who not want the water treated with chlorine unnecessarily The controversy began last August when the ministry of environment approved Medonte townships plan to improve Warminsters water system The project will cost $16000 and involves installation of twopumps Approval was granted by the ministry with the con dition that chlorination be provided But council objected to that condition on Oct 14 and registered an appeal with the Environmental Board Coun cil said there has never been negative test of War minsterwater At the hearing the board said the chlorine facilities should be installed at cost of between $300 and $500 but they are not to be used unless necessary The water is to be tested weekly as well instead of monthly
