an icetime squeeze in order to complete its championship series between Ivy Rangers and Barrie Jets Rangers took two games in one day earlier this week at the Thornton Arena to move to within one win of clinching the league title The first game ended in 30 shutout for Ivy over Barrie Jets At 402 of the opening period Jack Robbins of Ivy put away the first goal assisted by Glen Hitchon John Walton and Al Elliott assisted Dave Schandlen in the second goal scored at 623 of the second period Elloitt put away the final goal at 724 of the third period with Schandlen and Robbins assisting The second game of the day resulted in 43 win for Ivy Brian Casey of the Jets scored the first goal at 1028 of the opening period unassisted At 1302 of the same period Elliott put away Ivys first goal assisted by Schandlen and Mike Pelletier With only minute and 50 seconds played in the second period Pelletier scored Ivys second goal which was unassisted Peter Dusome tied the game up for the Jets at 1135 of the se cond period while Bob Drake assisted him At 719 of the final period Glen Hitchon put away Ivys third goal of the game assisted by Elliott Pat Rutledge of the Jets scored the tying goal at 802
