Both men and women were entertained hy several events. While some took in the scenery and talked, others walked the grounds and some joined in to play horseshoes, croq uet or darts. Ail enjoyed various kinds of pies, cheesecakes, jello and fresh strawberries. Tea and coffee was poured by mrs. Saide Hamilton, Mrs. Norma Long, Mrs. Hazel Horn and Mrs. Aileen Bairstow, Mrs. Ula Tennant, and Mrs. Doro- thy Holmes. Any home made pies that were left over from'the tea, were sold afterwards.. The ladies found that they had made over $20000 from this event. They said that everyone had such a good time, that they didn't want to go home.
