retire has been asked to give further cansideratton to the bylaw effecting retirement age of 62 for teachers on the staff Mr Harris who has just com pleted his term of office with the school made the suggestion in letter which he has submitted to the board During nex year he points out he hoped that further consideration would be givcn to certain matters One of these was that there should be larger income to teachers with higher qualifications and in this re gard Mr Harris points out fully realize that this in itself does not make the best teacher but on the average the teachers with the high est qualifications have the best background to be topnotch teach ers and therefore further consider ation should be given to encourage higher recognized standards among the teaching staff Higher compensation should be made for past experience to teach ers joining the staff as results in the past had shown that this was fac tor in retaining the services of some good staff members Referring to
