Logan Essa Road Sunday School Presents Christmas Concert Essa Road Presbyterian Church was filled on Friday evening for the annual Sunday School Christ mas concert presented by the boys and girls of the various classes un der the dirgction of their instruc tors The climax to the program of musical numbers and skits came when Santa Claus appeared to give treats to the children from the last gathering of The King Edward Home and School Association is holding special Christmas meeting tonight on the theme Chrlztrnas in Music Art and Literature The special program will be un der the direction of the convener Mrs Mildred Shear and members of the Home and School Arminl tion and the Ladies Choir will be taking part large turnout is expected at this meeting which will be the the association before the holidays Christmastrec Credit for the planning and work in connection with the program goes to Russell Church supering lcndcnt of the Sunday School and his assistant George Prarsall Miss Thelma Pearsall accompan icd mort of the numbers and the church organist and choirmaster accompanied the junior choir in the singing of special selection Theres Song in the Air Between many of the selections and throughout the evening the congregation joined in the singing of Christmas carols in keeping with the festive Season The last part of the program was taken up with the showing of colored film strip cartoon The Littlest Camel which was greatly enjoyed by all the children and adults The nursery and beginners class es taught by Miss Margaret Gates and Miss Dorothy Grant presented the first number on the program Away in Manger This was followed by an action song by lllt primary girls Minccmcat Pics for Christmas directed by Miss Bcn trice Reed The primary boys under the dzr cction of their teacher Miss Joyce Pcarsali were soon in skit en titled Decorating the Christmas Tree vocal soloist from the junior girls class taught by Miss Helen Webb was Sharon
