Spectacular Showcase on stage at QEPCCC When the Christmas hustle and bustle is through, residents are invited to attend The Spectacular Showcase starting Saturday (Dec. 27). For the third consecutive year, talented local performers, aged 40 and older, will strut their stuff with song and dance in the cabaret-style variety show, held at the Queen Elizabeth Park (QEP) Community and Cultural Centre's Black Box Theatre, 2302 Bridge Rd. In previous years, the popular showcase has been a near sell-out and organizers are promising this year's show will be "even better." Performances will be at 7 p.m. on the Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 28). Tickets cost $20 and are available at the QEP Older Adults Centre, 905815-5979, ext. 4673, Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors, 1565 Old Lakeshore Rd. W., or by emailing oakshow14@gmail.com. There will also be some pre-show entertainment beginning 45 minutes before the curtain rises. For more information, visit www.oakvilleshowcase.ca.
