Oakville firefighters Greg Riley and Dave Blandlord were presented by Fire Chief Chris Powers. Both men rescued and resuscitated a young woman from a burn ing house and a smoke filled apartment. They were presented with plaques and cheques for their charities, the Neo-Natal ward at McMaster Hospital and the Carpenter Hospice. The paramedics were selected by their peers for leadership, patient advocacy, job excellence and other qualities. They also received plaques and cheques for Jake's House and Feed the Children in Canada.
