of Cookstown died on Saturday Feb 25 at Hoylands Nursing and Con valescent Home Wexford The remains were brought to Cooks town for burial from Hughes Funeral Home in the family plot in St Johns Cemetery on Mon day Feb 27 1956 at pm Rev Kellogg pastor of Cookstown United Church conducted the ser vice in the chapel assisted by Rev Canon Chaperlin of St Johns Church Pallbearers were Norman Campbell Russell Draper Douglas Hopper Kidd Eldon Neilly nd Lester Rutledge all of Cooks own The late Mr Kidd was born on the family farm in Cookstown in l874 the son of James Albert Kidd and Annie ElizabethFergu son He graduated with the de gree of Bachelor of Science of Agriculture from the Ontario Agricultural Collegein 1895 after which he married Florence May lebb who predeceased him in 1942 His early married life was spent on farm at Egbert but up on the rctirement of his father he moved to Cookstown to manage the farm there He spent the re mainder of his life at Cookstown until failing broadminded andindul gent parent generous to degree and wise in council His influ ence in both public and private life will be greatly missed Besides his two sons heluves behind him two grandchildren
