GenNext brings young professionals, executives together Young professionals will get the chance to rub shoulders with Oakville and the surrounding area executives in January 2015. The Beers, Peers and Spheres (of influence) networking event, hosted by GenNext Oakville, will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Sheridan College's theatre, 1430 Trafalgar Rd. The evening will feature door prizes, casual mingling time and three rounds of Qand-A sessions that will allow guests to sit down with three different executives from sectors of their choice. "This is a difficult time for young professionals to gain momentum," said Geoff Gibson, chair of the GenNext cabinet. "Members of the GenNext demographic are more educated than ever, yet much of their potential is underutilized. They need opportunities to make the connections that will build their careers, and this event is a chance to do that." Among the executives expected to attend, include: David Brennan, chief of staff, Office of the Mayor and Council; Carole Crowe, superintendent, Halton Regional Police Services; Ken Coulter, CEO of The Coulter Creative; Joe Donaldson, vice-president (VP) of marketing, Pattison Outdoor; Sudha Dwivedi, VP of human resources, Element Fleet Management; Martin Felsky, National E-Discovery partner, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP; France Fournier, marketing and community relations at Whole Foods Market; Max Khan, trial lawyer with Feige Nawrocki LLP and councillor for Ward 6; John Lever, regional VP of RBC Royal Bank; Cosimo Mazzaferro, regional VP of TD Canada Trust; Linda White, VP of global performance and learning, Scotiabank; and Jeff Zabudsky, president and CEO of Sheridan College.
