Do our young people look upon it with delight and as a decided achievement? Absolutely not, but regard it with shame are the views expressed. - Therefore in our support of government leaders at Section time we should support only those who seek to remedy this great evil. The recreation period followed the discussion with Gordon Adams most ably conducting. The meeting closed with a song sung by all. Church, East Colborne, where " has resided for some time. She has been in failing health for s mon'ths. Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, Mr. Rosewell Barrett of East Colborne. Deceased was years of age. The funeral service will be held this, Thursday afternoon, at 2.30, at the home of Mr. Church, to be conducted- by the Rev. W. H. Moore, Pastor of Colborne Baptist Church, of which deceased has been a member for many years. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Grafton. "Lakeview" Women's Institute, Cramahe Another branch of the Women's Institute of East Northumberland was organized Tuesday, March 23rd, 1937, at the home of Mrs. John Martin, where a numlber gathered for our preliminary 'business meeting. Mrs. Martin has kindly consented to open her home for these meetings. Mrs. P. Metoalf took the chair during the first part of our meeting. She read to uis a few instructions from our band book. Then members were then placed on the roll and the election of officers followed. The officers elected are: President--Mrs. Gordon Honey. Vice-President--Mrs. John Martin. Reverend D. T. Owen, Primate of Canada, laid his hands in Apostolic blessing on some thirty or so young people of the vicinity, among whom we're two from Colborne, Donald A. Cracknell and Jack Musfce'tt, presented by Rev. P. W. Roberts, Rector of Trinity Church. The Archbishop spoke well and impressed upon the large congregation assembled the need for a decisive Christianity. The life of a Christian, he said, was the hardest, yet one filled with joy and offering greater hope than any o»'her calling.
