Many times, these women will face great obstacles -- lower income, lack of affordable housing, custody issues and the loss of family traditions. Your support tells each woman that you believe in them. We look forward to working with you as we continue to raise awareness about woman abuse and about our programs and services. Together, we can make great strides towards ending violence against women. Because a life without violence is the only life to live. All are invited to participate in `Flicks for Funds', where a portion of all proceeds from movies and concessions are donated to Kerr Street Ministries (KSM). If you have a spouse and no children, your spouse is entitled to your entire estate. Common law spouses are not included in the definition of `spouse' and therefore are not entitled to any of your estate. If you have a spouse and biological/ adopted children, your spouse gets the first $200,000 and ½ of the balance if you have one child or 1/3rd if you have more, with the remainder going to your children. If you aren't married, the order goes children (and down the line), parents, brothers and sisters, and then nephews and nieces. Any inheritance payable to a minor must be paid into Court and the minor will receive the remainder at age 18. The Court will choose a guardian for your minor children if you were the last surviving guardian. The guardian must apply to the Office of the Children's Lawyer each time they need money for living expenses or the education of the minor. 20 years experienCe | Quality Craftsmanship | Custom designs 905-844-3332 Visit our showroom: 333 Wyecroft Rd.
