The concert is at 7:30 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St., with a guest choir, the Burlington Choral Society singing traditional Christmas music and Christmas carols from around the world. Admission is free, however donations will be accepted to support Child Find Ontario. The Oakville Christian Choir consists of 33 singers who perform benefit con certs to support charities and non-profit organizations. " Our singers were deeply saddened by the plight of those Ontario families preparing for a Christmas while a child is missing," said Christel Kirsten, Choir Director for the Youth Choir. " We want to lend our support to the valuable work that Child Find performs." Child Find Ontario works with law enforcement and social service agencies to help find children who are missing or have been abducted. Child Find mounts search and recovery programs for miss ing children along with offering educa tion and prevention programs designed to keep Ontario children safe. Suzanne Brown vanished from the entertainment industry a couple of years ago to spend time with her children, but come Sunday, she will officially be back. Having used the Oakville Santa Claus Parade as a warm-up, her real comeback party w ill be during a live recording at Trane, a Toronto restaurant and bar specializing in Cajun and Caribbean food. The recording will be played as the soundtrack at Trane, and w ill also be made into a CD. For this outing. Brown is teaming up with The Chain Gang, a three-piece out fit specializing in deep Mississippi blues, a type of blues created in the 1920s and 30s. Brown's professional career began in Florida when she was 15 years old, singing Cole Porter songs, but her pas sion for music was inherited from her mother, who had her own television show at age 17. Her three sons, in turn, are following in her footsteps, one of them acting in Degrassi: the Next Generation. It is because her children are old enough to be on set by themselves now that Brown decided to return to music. When she saw The Chain Gang playing one night, she knew that work ing with them was the right way to do it. " It was such a wonderful sound and a wonderful feeling," she said, sitting in the living room of her house in Oakville, where she has lived since 1992. Returning to the stage " is a recon necting with what you were put on this earth to do." Once out there, she's most looking forward to " having a great audience of family and friends, and people who've never heard me before and diving right back into the industry again, to do what I love to do." Apparently, people love her doing it, too. With over a week until the show, 70 of the 110 tickets to the taping at Trane have been sold.
