Welsman sings in four languages and plays piano. Her achievements include the 2003 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Berklee College of Music, die 2(X)2 "Ja// vocalist of the Year" honour at the National Jazz Awards, and three Juno Award nominations. Welsman has also sold more than 50.000 jazz albums in Canada. This vocalist has a style of her own and brings a refreshing new life to jazz and pop classics. Phase One of the project - construc tion of a low stone will 1along Navy Street will begin this summer. Additional phas es for the project include installation of iron fencing, construction of a new-court yard entrance and restoration of gardens on the property.
