Oakville Beaver looking for 'Coach of the Month 1 They're on the ice -- or the field, or the court -- early, and they're the last ones to leave. They teach us not only the skills but also how to have the time of our lives, whether we're win ning or losing. And they donate their time to make a major contribution to minor sports. So now is the time to reward great coaches in a big way. Local team members (and their parents) in any sport are invited to submit their nomina tions for the 'Coach of the Month', a new feature that will aim the spotlight on the men and women who make local teams shine. One coach will be chosen each month, and they will receive a pizza party for the team -- on us. In addition, the will run an article on the winner, along with the team photo. Submissions should include the coach's name, the team and division name, and why they make playing the game something special. Suggestions can be e-mailed to nnelson@haltonsearch.com. "It's pretty hard right now because most teams have goalies coming down from teams above, and I'm trying to make my way up," Marshall said. Marshall is remarkably agile for his 6-foot-5, 190-pound frame. In his Grade 9 year at St. Ignatius of Loyola, he fin ished fourth overall in high jump at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships, then earned provincial silver tfie following year. Though he now does high-jumping primarily on a recre ational basis, Marshall said he might resume track-and-field should he attend a Canadian university in the next couple years. For now, however, he's simply trying to stay in shape and hoping for an opportunity to play semi-pro. "I believe that as long as my mind stays sharp and I stay in good shape, I'll be able to keep playing as long as I need to or want to," he said. "After a couple years, I'll probably end up going to school for sure, if the pros aren't looking too good. I'll have to make some decisions." $49.95 US-TOUR GLOVES 50% OFF ONCE A YEAR ONLY With FREE Shoe Bag (while supply lasts) TIGER GOLF BALLS 2/$19.95 50% OFF LOTS OF STOCKING STUFFERS 3 DOZ. $29.95 PUTTERS & WEDGES ALL MEN'S GOLF SETS (WALL DISPLAYS) FROM 500 DRIVING IRONS FROM $19.95 $24.95 JUNIOR SETS INCL.
