It's month-long Maple Syrup Festival continues weekends and March Break until the end of March. A ctivities w ill include tree tapping, maple syrup and maple sugar candy demon strations, wagon rides, educational movies, tours of Spruce Lane Farmhouse, newborn farm animals to pet, and a maple products gift shop. Pancakes and maple syrup w ill be served on weekends and during March Break. The festival w ill be open weekends, and daily during March Break, March 10 - 14, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Pancakes w ill be served from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. T General admission is S4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for ages 4 to 17. up to a maximum of $12 per vehicle. Children aged 3 years and under are free. General admission includes house tours, wagon rides, syrup trail tours, logging the atre and visits with the farm animals. Extra charges apply for purchases in gift shop, fresh maple candy and meals: S3 for small (two pancakes) and S5 for large (three pancakes). March 9th when the third in a series of free fam ily " Make A Craft for K itty" workshops takes place at the Iroquois Ridge Library (1051 Glen Ashton). "Cats are safest when they are at home," stated Heather W hite, O akville Humane Society Community Services Coordinator. "W e want to help families make their home a fun place. The workshop offers a great way to learn more about cat care, while fam ilies make an entertaining toy for their cat." The event is being Held as part o f the " There's No Place Like Home" education campaign. The campaign, which promotes adherence to the Town of O akville cat by law (#2001-83) requiring cats to wear iden tification, runs until June 2003. The final workshop in the series takes place at Glen Abbey Library (Sunday. M ay 4).
